Ok, I have an 03 speed and have had the normal clunk from the trunk sincei bought the car. for about the 2 years a slow squeak has started. Normally in the winter when its cold the front suspension squeaks when going over uneven road and in the summer time when its hot I get the same thing from the rear, I have had the dealer replace the bushings and it help for about a year. Now the noise is 90% of the time and mostly from the rear, tho still in the front. What are my options for bushings out there, I looked on protegegarage and cs but could not seem to find any. and I also did some forums searches but could not really get anything helpful..

Other then the noise performance does not appear to be degraded. I really need to replace them, so if anyone has some known options please help....Also is there something i could do like for expample splurt some k9 (j/k) or lube in the mean time?? THanks in advance

I know i had the same problem, I replaced the rear bushings and the squeak came back this spring as the temp went up. It eventually got bad enough for me to get under the car and check it out. To fix the squeak i took off the bushings i put on last year and just greased the hell out of them. I literally just did this tonight, and so far it seems to have totally gone away. But i only did the rear cuz the front is a pita.

Front bushing...Grease them....Or replace them and put grease in them when you do.

And not like Zerk fittings either....they dont have them....put it on by hand.

Had the same problem, mine was from the front sway bar bushings when temperatures got close to 32F. I greased the inside of the bushing when I replaced them and the problem disappeared. Can't recall the type of grease I used though.....

do a user search on a user named evolv, hes an approved merchant on here. for 200 bucks he sells custom metal brackets that bolt on near the swaybar i think it is, he showed me but it was a while ago. basically they help tighten up the suspension and if you buy a set of bushings, and install them with the brackets, everytime you do an oil change you take a oil gun and quickly lube up the bushings attached to the bracket. and youll never have the squeak again......the brackets themselves are nice, solid constuction, the guys good, im picking up a pair this month cause the squeek is annoying me

definitly worth talking to the guy about, he can explain it better then me

The clunk sounds like you have something loose inside the trunk. I had the squeak too, especially in reverse, but it went away with uretane bushings

ok spooler.. where did you get the urethane bushings from and what brand?
i would rather get them replaced and then grease the new ones.

Got them from Street Unit. Here is the link http://www.***************/MAZDASPEED_20mm_Bushings_p/sumspbk.htm
Don't forget duties if you live in Canada like me. They recommend Permatex lithium grease on the Street Unit website

Man I installed the rear SU bushings today start to finish in about 30 mins. was a piece of cake other then some dumb bolt placement on the brackets.

At Last! no more freaking squeaking. its been doing it for 2 years now, and without the noise I enjoy driving it more. I got the front set too just didnt install cause they only squeak when its cold outside.
