It seems that the US version may finally get the trip computer for 2009.

Great info and no real major changes
- Finally a trip computer and homelink std. Colours remain relatively unchanged. Just wish they would have the cloth Black interior on Copper Red GS or come back with a 2wd GT.
- Now if Mazda Canada could adjust the price to reflect more what our American friends pay I would consider getting one. Can't go much lower on finance rates of 0% especially since the B of C reduced the rates 1/2% again yesterday.
Maybe you missed it, but there is a huge upgrade to the tech side... Joker's gonna get A2DP Bluetooth, streaming your playlists from your cell phone with a media player.
That is a super cool feature and I wish I could have held out for an 09 now that I just got my fully loaded 08.
Oh, well. I can do an easy aftermarket add that will plug right into the aux port and stream from the phone to the input, but I won't get to control the player from the steering wheel like the 2009 will.
Maybe you're not into that, but that is the only thing I really don't like about my car so far... Well, that, and that useless "media" button. I have a WIndows phone with 8GB - Why would I buy an iPod?
Anyway, this car rocks and within a year I'm sure there will be a harness I can buy or a schematic I'll have time to disect... I'll get my homegrown Sync on sooner or later.

Is there any way to buy CX-9 with Canadian specs (option packaging) in the US?

Why would you want one? That's a lot of trouble just to get a car that makes you say "eh" after every voice command :D
