it's real easy and can be quick. just make sure when you start pulling the molding back you go REAL slow so most of the adhesive comes off with the molding.

three of my doors combined took ten minutes. the first one i did where i just ripped the molding off fast took about 30...

just heat it up and as you start pulling the molding off watch the adhesive and make sure it comes off the door before you pull it further.

Thanx....the dealership here has 3 CB Speeds.....one of them has the "mzspd extreme" decals on it.

I will try and find a pic....

so basicaly I just can use heat gun(hair dryer) warm up the whole moldng and slowly take it off?

i just warmed it up enough to get the edge started, then as i pulled it the adhesive kinda "rolled" onto the adhesive on the back of the molding

My moldings are off now...she had about 1500 miles on here then.....28K now.
And RX-8 wheels are the only other wheels I really like on this car....I want some!!

Love my speeds 3 over the 6, but both i am driving.
THisa was 3 weeks ago when F2 picked up fmy car for product develpment. (and possibly more).

Will see her agian in 1.5 - 2 months i miss driving her!!!!!

WEll between the 2 cars, Ill take my MS3 anyday ove rthe speed6.

the 6 has a big trunk, but just not the same as a hatch fo rme. But it is big. the 6 top sits a little lower. i still hit my head at times. the 3 i never hit my head. The MS3 feels faster, feels the inputs beter. Seats are way more comfortable(my bro is thinking fo puttign speed3 seats int he 6 if they bolt up). I dont liek the gauge cluster in the 6. the 3 is better.
Btu the 6 has options i dont knwo why they didnt carry over to the speed3.
Keyless ingition, (but there is a valet key). you touch a button on the door, and trunk to uinlock. 4 window 1 touch up and down. No offenxe to my bro. Just fo rme i prefer the MS3 over both cars. 6 is still fund to drive. BUT i love the speed3 more. lol

No, I didn't put the 2.3 emblem on the car. It came off the truck with it. I'm thinking of taking it off but it does help with that sleeper look.(sssh)

20% tints all around.....wheels are powdercoated -- not painted.
Bought them from a member real cheap as they we're partially sanded, etc.....then had them coated.

Yeah -- no problems at night whatsoever.
Technically it's illegal, but it's not so dark that anyone notices (cops).
Also, it's only 20% on the back window as well, while lots of people will go much darker on the back to reduce headlight glare, etc.

I struggled with the bronze or gunmetal. Not too noticable I thought. I did put the competition decals on the wheels because they are close in color to the blue. For whatever it is worth, I am pleased with as I needed to run a wider tire than stock. I believe they are about 21lbs. Which is a little lighter also. They have held up well after 15000 or so. But I will get some Work wheels when I am able.

I was shy and went with 225/40s because i did not have springs yet and worried about rub if i went with coilovers. But I went with a more track oriented tire { softer } And gained lots of traction. I do not care so much about treadware i guess. I really like the gunmetal too. Probably the cooler color actually. If you do a tire wheel package you might want them mounted locally so you can reinstall the stock wheels' tire pressure sensors. I forgot. Car is fine but the warning light stays on all the time! good luck

now i have an appearance mod to show off i can post. I must admit i liked having the sleeper look of a stock car on the outside, even heard folks on the forums say the saw a stock speed 3 at........... the other day, i liked that. Those wheels look awesome!! The tow hitch is as far under the cop radar as you can get! Nice car M.

hitch is only 1 1/4", normally you can not see it, i just leave the 1 1/4" to 2" adapter on there all the time which is what you see sticking out. I used to have a truck with a 2" receiver for the bike rack, i chose to keep it and install the hitch on the 3 as apposed to buying another rack.

I can not think of any negative aspect to the shark fin at all, i have had it almost 2 years now and not one issue with it. No noticeable reduction in reception here in Houston. I got it from the RPM store already painted, they are a good vendor but we have to pay tax cos there in texas.

Picked them up off Ebay for $500, shipping included. Bottom right one needs to get touched up (5 little 1/4" rashes), but for the money, still beats the price of $289/wheel for new ones.

That’s my pal right there, my wife rescued him from the pound a couple of years ago while I was offshore, he had a cold and they were going to destroy him so she had to make them go out the back and get him and actually insist on taking him (she had seen him on their web site). He is a mix, my best guess is Black Lab and Whippet which makes him a midget lab who can run his ass off. He goes everywhere with me and often runs beside me or my mountain bike or is my trail buddy when wheeling.
Heres us at the local 4WD parade last year where he went down a storm with all the kids in the crowd

dang thats a big chest but a good looker and snow, I haven’t seen any in years, I almost forgot how much fun it can be. I actually just turned down an assignment in Alaska but i think it will be far too cold to enjoy the snow.

As far as future mods go i think just to use the ap which i have had since june but was waiting until i swapped out some stuff. Then only a rear sway bar and side/trans mounts. No other plans after that but i know too well that you can never say never, someone somewhere will make something and i'll buy it.

Allow me to recommend the rear sway. Easy to do, relatively inexpensive and it really changes the cornering attitude. I takes away understeer or push. My buddy, who is old school muscle car was riding along was fairly amazed that afront wheel car could be driven sideways under acceleration. I was alittle also. I cannot post anymore this week because i am apost whore i hear so.. Best luck and enjoyed. thanks. ps I have Hotchkis front and rear on the stiffer rear setting. But a Cobb would do you just as well I believe. I do not recommend the front unless you enjoy a fairly pita difficult install. as you know feel free to pm. Eric

heres a pic of my car on H&R sport springs and MRR GT1's(18x7.5, with a 48 offset) and wrapped in falken fk452(25/40/18). stance is sick now, ride is nice too obviously a little stiffer but not that much of a difference, super stoked on the setup. i'll attach a pic of before and after. more mods to come so i'll keep you updated

Nope - they are a direct fit for the MS3. No modification needed. A lot of MS3/MZ3 owners run them.

Most of you folks may not recall the first Pontiac Trans-Ams, but the windows had a lite blue tint that i loved. Not a reflective type though. I will have this if i can ever find it. But blursports, i think a lite reflective blue would go well. But it is your taste that matters most.

I lowered mine as much as it would go on Saturday without removing the lower lock ring. I wanted to lower the fronts as much as they would go but something prevented it from going lower than it did. I'm going to have to investigate but we were running short on time and needed to get it on the alignment rack after installing the SPC links.

I put my BC's on saturday, and I put the rear as low as it could go and i put the front to about 2-1/2 to 3 threads showing from the bottom, the stance on it is so stout. The svn's are tucked nicely and I have an even 1 finger gap all around and no rubbage. BC coils FTMFW!

I want to hear more about that diffuser, and those rain guards are ebaydm specials, I had them before my jdmgoodie ones.

Do me a favor and measure the height at the fender, straight through the middle of the wheel front and back. I want to see how mine compares.

I have one of the rear lock rings removed, and the front slightly lower. It looks even though. The rears dont look 1/4 higher for some reason. I think its the wheel offset playing eye tricks...lol

EDIT: Ive had the fronts lower than they currently are, but it started to cut through the fender liner, into the fender weld up top. I dont suggest major tucking up front, it may look nice. But youll end up buying new tires as well as possibly crashing your car.

I just measured my fender height. On flat ground, it's 25" all around with RX-8 wheels on 225/40's and BC's all the way down with all collars/rings in. My car looks pretty much level, if anything, slight rake.

I went to the track today and only got to make 2 passes, crowded. I spun 1st gear badly as my 60 ft shows. I made up for it on the top end and the FMIC helped there. With practice I believe I can get her to 13.5

yes i got a fourteen .28 also when stock, i got another one today. I ran 13.7. with intercooler and CAI. Today i was running 21lbs with lots of bolt ons and a tune or two and tires. I did not even get out of the box till second gear. Timeslip. I was wtheck!? then back in the pits we found the culprit. The smell gave it away. My clutch. Last day for the track being open. I have my winter project now. shit. but it was just a matter of time i suppose. Do we have a wall of shame for horrible timeslips, i would like to be first to say i suck.

Hella hard to clean.... after a shit load of under-side wash's, I still had salt coming out of my ass! :)) But a few months later.... it was all off. It was simply amazing! If you ever drive through Utah during the sumer months.... its worth the experience!
