scratches on cup holder shifter piece.

the plastic piece around the sifter is scratched on my 03.5 msp. I want to repaint it or just touch it up to remove the scratches. does anyone know the color of it or where i can find the exact paint?

Not sure on the exact color code, but have you tried to sand out the scratches using a piece of 2000 grit wet or dry 3M paper? If they are just surface scratches they will come out and you can use some aggressive compound to restore it to like new condition.

i would say just paint the bitch it is on my to do list for this season cause mine is fucked i think the previous owner stored bricks there mine is crazy scratched up. I was thinking of just painting it black but i wanna try and find a similar color i'll keep you updated on the search for paint let me know if you find anything

If you search your lil butt off, somewhere in the confusion of thousands of old threads, I believe someone found a paint that pretty much matches the silver trim.

Bump for j00 .. I'm curious on this as well, since I'd really like to repaint the surround around my shifter AND the one around my radio. Both of mine are scratched up. :(

personally id like to remove the whole damn thing, i dont like the silver mixed with dark grey around the shifter and on the main consol, also hate the CF runners on both sides....id like to paint them darker or something so that when i do my lighting mods, i wont have that silver aroudn there
