Tokico HP + stock springs

I'm replacing all four struts on my '01 Pro ES and will use Tokico HP's or KYB GR-2's.

Does anybody have experience with the Tokico HP's on stock springs? Also, any idea how long the HP's last (I hear they don't last long at all).

I've installed a few sets of HPs with stock springs, they ride just like stock but I didn't get a chance to 'push' any of them with this setup. I haven't herd of anyones HP going bad on a Protege yet. I hear lots of bad things about them on Hondas though. Usually because they are too low which will kill any strut.
