LSD Install in 2002 ES

I ordered the Rev 3 Mazdaspeed LSD and it is at my builders right now with my tranny. They are saying the drive gear will not fit. They ordered a new one from mazdaspeed and it is the same. So my builder is saying my LSD is machined wrong or somthing else is wrong. Any suggestions since this is holding my motor install up.

$$ is becoming an issue.......... I would rather have a definitive answer on how to make it fit!! My builder is not cheap!
