With a good tune you can get away with it.

Why not? My car ran like a 9.5/10:1 afr untuned at 10lbs.(with a fmic) That was with a 19lb spool on a bad wga. You should be able to run 10. Although if you blow it up i'm not responsible. Get a wideband and make your life worry free.

turbohoses in my opinon are the way to go... if you leave the stock smic you will feel the heatsoak more if you turn up the boost. I would recommend getting the customMSP SMIC as well as hardpipes before turning it up.
