OK I found this little breather filter I had bought for my old project and never installed it. What are the Pro's and cons for using it on the MSP? I tried to search old post but nothing definitive comes up.

I've been running one for over a year now with no issues to report. I did not notice any pros or cons.

i am also interested
honsetly i don't know what difference it makes, but i've been running a breather filter for more than a year and a half. When i got my Mental Addiction FMIC, the intake had no connection for the crankcase ventilation, so i just put a breather on there. I've never noticed any oil from it or anything. Mental Addiction, while a shady business model, always seemed to know what they were doing when producing parts so i never really questioned it.

If your talkin about that port on the driver side where the intake has a hose to, then i also put a breather there!!

It's a good idea until it's saturated w/ oil and then it starts to blow oil mist on your entire engine bay...

I'd still rather have that than have oil sprayed into my intake...

I had an inline fuel filter while still connected to the intake and never accummulated more than a drop of oil in it so I put my breather back on.

To each his own. Why not use a catch can ?

I use a catch can! To each his own about what? I was just showing that no oil is pressured through the side of the crankcase before I put the breather on there and sprayed oil everywhere like you mentioned.

It was just a generalized statement,...everyone is entitled to do things as they like, not necessarily referring soley to you. I need a catch can damn it.
