Anyone who is curious about what that is I'll let you know. And for those who know what it is, and have or have no tried it tell me what you think and what your results were. I purchased one and found the results to be no less or more than I was told and what I expected. a nice little addition I thought. It's all in the small stuff.

I'll be glad too, there's actually a thread the came before this one about the exact same if you care to look at it. Something along the lines of coolant bypass. Here we go.
A throttle body has engine coolant that passes through it in order to keep it warm, the purpose of this really only applies in cold cold climates. It's to keep the throttle body from freezing in an open or closed position. So if the throttle body is being heated by the hot coolant, than the air that passes through it is also being warmed to an extent. Kind of reduces the effectiveness of a cold air intake. So bypass the throttle body in the coolant line. All you need is an adapter with two male ends that will enable the two hoses attached to the throttle body to connect to one another while still enabling the coolant to go where it needs to. Now no more hot throttle body thus colder air.

You don't need any parts. Take one hose completely off, put the open end of the other hose onto where the last hose came off. Cap the nipples on the tb. Done.

It was one of my first mods, and I never had a problem. Mind you I only ever winter drove my car like once when it was stock... But I do remember it was about -30* out...

Did the throttle body bypass on my Integra, and as much as I wanted to believe it worked, it didn't do a thing. Car dyno'd with the same numbers

If you compare in 100 degree summer weather, there probably will be some difference. It may be slower to idle smoothly in very cold winter weather. Where I live, it rarely gets below 15-20F in the winter, but long streaches of 95-100F happen every summer. I might try it this summer, hoping for a little better gas mileage.
