Hey everyone Im new to this thread and thought I would say hello and ask some questions.

First off my car is a 2002 Yellow P5.

Love it to death, especially with warm weather and you have the sunroof open and all windows down! But i really want to spice up my calipers since they dont look at too impressive! So since my car is a nice Sunburst yellow(i think thats the colour) I was wondering what colour to paint my calipers.

As for the type of paint i have not decided on a company, any suggestions?

And finally, my procedure was going to be doing the front and then back in succession. Jacking up the car, removing the wheels, cleaning the caliper, taping off the disc and other essential parts, painting it with a small brush (two coats) and letting it sit for 24 hours before driving.....

Let me know what you think and input in very much appreciated.

I used the Duplicolor brush on kit and that worked very well. You don't even have to let it sit for 24 hours before you can drive it again. Duplicolor I'm pretty sure makes a yellow kit. However, if not, they have black, red and blue I'm pretty sure of. You could always just go for a clean look and paint them black. That is what I did with mine. It was primarily done to just get rid of the rusty look, and to protect them.

I believed i used the Duplicolor brake kit with the brush, i put my car on four jack stands and took all of the calipers to paint. I put two coats on all 4 and they have been on for about 8 months now and are chipping pretty badly. So i would make sure you clean them really well and def. put on two coats at least.

I used the yellow duplacolor and it worked great on the yellow car. Make sure you clean them very well. I used a can of breakleen for each caliper and scrubbed with a wire brush. then I put on atleast 4 coats of paint per caliper. Let them dry over night and then put on wheels the next day.
Here is a pic of final look

the yellow looks pretty good but i dont think i would do red...i think it would look like a mcdonalds car...like i think even on ferraris and stuff they use yellow on yellow instead of red.

since i just finish my final exams i hv some time to spare. So i decide to paint my caliper during this break. i hv a lazer blue p5...here are my options:
blue - match the body and lug nuts color.....oh i hv bronze rim btw
yellow - match my yellow fog tint..flow with the sort of "blue and yellow" theme
red - most common, can't go wrong
which one should i go for???? need some advice
