I was wondering if anybody uses the Perrin SRI and if they like it. Anybody have any opinions or info about this system?

I used to have it...the turbo spooled quicker but it ate a lot of hot air...Id suggest going CAI...its just better for the turbo/engine

an intake is an intake. I really can't see any difference between different types. There are even arguements that say SRI is better than CAI. And vis versa. just pick one with a decent filter...it's honestly never going to change anything very much.
personally i don't like foam filters... and i think the perrin is foam.

Get off of here pat! when my cold air gets wet my car runs like crap!! just something to thing about. it stalls and sputters real bad. use your money and buy something else. like a pair of abercrombie pants for your wife!!

umm sounds like you have other problems...cause honestly I have had the Perrin and now I currently have a CAI...When it is raining or wet out it performs exactly the same...Yours should not be getting wet and if it is then you shouldnt be driving it or you'll risk getting water in there...trust me you dont want that.
And to the previous poster the perrin does have a foam filter and that is one of the bad things about it...when they get old the inside of the foam rips off and just gets sucked into the turbo...

that is why you make sure its properly oiled. Foam filters such as the perrin are awesome if you take care of them and dont let them rot away.

thanks to the laws of thermal dynamic compression the CAI wins every time. The temperature of the turbochargers intake air has a direct correlation to the temperature of the compressed air it produces. Not to mention your AIT sensor has an effect on the ignition timing and it sits in the intake piping..
