I installed the turboxs FMIC. now i'm only holding 5psi. i know the boost leak some people have seen cant be THAT bad. do you think its something from the FMIC install or a bad connection on my MBC? .

If you held more then 5psi before the fmi then there must be a leak some where in the fmi hoses or maybe even the intercooler itself.Did you install the mbc and the fmi at the same time?

no, i installed the MBC a week prior. i held 17 before with my map clamp and mbc. i'm going to double check the mbc hoses tomorrow. see whats up.

I just installed mine as well...I made a boost leak tester with stuff from home depot. I found I had a really bad leak at the bpv/bov flange welds. The weld looked like crap and you could see the pin holes. Needless to say turboxs has done nothing about it and will not return my phone call or email. So I had it fixed myself. I did loose about 2psi. I am lightly modded so I was expecting that. Nothing a few turns on the boost controller won't fix...lol.

And remember the tbolt clamps can be tightened very very tight...

It seems obvious that you have a leak in your intercooler hose or intercooler itself..Im not sure why you would check your mbc when you said it was fine before the fmi install..

had the same problem with the turboxs fmic, you have to tighten the clamps really tight (make sure none of the silicone couplers are pinched) I spoke with turboxs when I thought there was a hole in the intercooler, they told me the intercoolers are tested to 100psi at the factory. In the end the problem was fixed by going over all the clamps and re-tightening everything!

well, turns out you guys were right, silicon hoses were a bit loose. now i'm pulling like crazy. this intercooler is great. hitting 15 psi in 3rd , 17 in 4th, and 19-20 in 5th and 6th. all i need now is my tbe to come in and i'd be set. and the ap or something to manage my ecu. Thank you guys for your help. i'll post pics up soon, weather here is crappy.

You have not had ecu interference? Very nice. you will need to be tuned with the exhaust to take full advantage of your upgrades imo, this car should be pretty damn fast by now ehh?

this car is stupid fast. i can only imagine how crazy it will be with an ecu manager and tune.
