similar situation happened to someone on another forum. timing belt wasn't installed right, timing was off.

We've checked that. plus I don't think its the ecu, its getting spark... could it be the cam sensor?

did it work before? any reason to think it broke? all other sensors are plugged in and even if the engine wasn't primed I'd still think it would turn over. hope whatever it is you figure it out soon.

If your getting spark....and fual..Its got to be in the timing..you better recheck that timing belt and make sure its on properly.
Is it firing at all...Even backfiring....If there was fuel...and spark..It should ignite at somepoint even if its a backfire?
Did you purge the air from the fuel lies after having this all apart?

yes, it was purged, there is nothing.. It just rolls..

Is there fuel though?
to and from the injectors?
If so..I would SERIOUSLY check the timing belt.
You sure you didnt install it 180 out?

yes, fuel to and from the injectors, I will recheck time.. I know the timing arrows point in on the cams and up on the crank.

IIRC...cant you put the cam wheels on the wrong cam and they will be 180 out when lined up?
Someone else will have to answer this..but I thought when I looked at them..It was possibble.

never took the cam gears off when we took it apart.. pulled the whole cam.. with gear attached..
that would make it 180 out.. but i know thats not the problem..

ITS ALIVE.. haha.. turns out previous owner must have had the cam gears out, they didnt line up at all with the movement of the valves, fixed that, redid timing, and she fired right up!.. thanks for the help all!

i am not running synthetic til the second oil change, and we were testing to see how the boost and vac is,.. back on topic, what can be the cause of no vac and reading 10 psi boost?? we replaced all vacuum lines today!

if u have no vac it should be idleing like utter shit or reving itself like knightriders car
if its idleing fine and ur not idleing at 3k rpm. try another gauge or check the boost reference.

the only prob i am seeing with idle is when it comes to a stop, then it shuts off unless you pop into nuetral and feather the pedal...

yea thats usualy a leak post maf. like if u have a bov and no recirc.
id check the gauge or its source.
