i just came from fynetune here in miami and i dynoed the car after getting the fmic and the grredy bov, no difference whatsoever in hp not even one, my mods are corksport dp,corksport fmic, ms cbe, greedy bov.
the car is boosting 18.48 lbs and its making 267 rwhp/ 277 rwtq, the guy show the graph and its running rich. what i dont get how come some people with less are getting more hp and some of the vendors here are claiming 325 hp and like 345tq with a similar set-up.

The only horsepower mods you have are the DP and intake. Did you get a baseline dyno?
Assuming 263 is the stock hp with a 15% drivetrain loss = 224 whp
You're looking at about 315hp at the crank with a 15% loss = 267 whp
What's the problem?

rwhp= rear wheel horse power in case you didn't know.
All dynos are different...and there are many many factors that could change things! That's why a baseline and going back to the same dyno as a reference. Trap speed is a more accurate measurment of power.

i also have a mazda catback, but still what im saying is i think its turboxs who is claiming 325 hp with a stage 2 package, what i dont know if it is to the wheels or to the flywheel. i will be putting race pipe next week, maybe 8 to 10 more horsies.

they proabbly ment 325hp at the crank and with your numbers that would be pretty close to 325@ the crank so i wouldnt get too discouraged

Who cares what the numbers are; how does it pull? Are you happy with the way that it drives? Abstract numbers are really not that important. I'd rather have usable power through the entire powerband than a peak at redline to stroke my ego...

did you allow the car's ecu to reprogram itself after you installed the FMIC, it might take awhile for everything to adjust, give it sometime to readjust

All Dyno's are different. The numbers they give are only good for Tuning and Epeen effects. It just gives you a number that you can base mods off of as you mod your car. This is providing that you get all dyno's on the same dyno you set your baseline on.
They type of Dyno you're on makes a huge differance as well. What type of Dyno was it? If it was a Mustang then those numbers are excellent.

Do you have a baseline number stock? The testpipe will help alot. I bet it puts your over 280whp. Thats right where you should be. Your torque is whats low. You should be seeing around 300ftlbs.??? Dont get distressed. Was the car holding boost all the way to 6k? What was the boost at peak whp????
Also what rpm where they starting the dyno pulls at in? and was it 4th gear?? All these things play factor.

it was on a dynojet, the car was holding 18 lbs of boost all the way, and it was done on 4th gear.

cat backs dont add anything but sound on this car.

Surprised no one jumped in on this one: you said it yourself, you're running rich. If you even out the a/f you'll make more power... at least gain your dyno numbers. Tune it and you'll be happier (so will you car)(nana)

How are you boosting 18 psi?

sounds to me like he has a boost leak. With his mods and no pump i've only seen our cars run rich cause theres a boost leak. it took me 3 days to convince laloosh of this and then he finally found the torn hose that was the culprit. after fixing it he was right back to his 12.8 a/fs by 5800

How are you boosting 18 psi?
taking off the stock top mount jumps you like 2-3 psi

Those #s at crank are respectable. There is a bit more in there with a proper tune, but no worry it must drive nice!

My car runs stupid rich also. Seems like the mazdaspeed3 thing to do, unless you really start pushing it. I which SCT made shit for this car. I put down 249.8whp/291wtq stock... but like as said before, dyno's are different.
Check some number of other cars dyno'd on that machine, then you get a good comparison. Whoever said 267whp = 325flywheel whp is WRONG.
