Alright, well, I will try to explain my problem to the best of my ability. First, I was having a problem where my car would jump up and down from about 1000rpm to 3000rpm back and forth at idle. I also had two CEL's P0507 and P300. Now yesterday I installed my SS AFC and my CEL's went away and now the car idle's real low and sometimes stalls (at idle). However, when I'm actually giving it gas, it drives fine. My A/F ratio gauge tends to jump up and down when I'm driving and when I let off the gas driving, it is only on one bar (red) the last one and it flickers. So if anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
-mods: AEM CAI, relocated MAF, blow-off valve, Walbro fuel-pump, and now SS AFC .V2

Mine does the same. The WB goes form 14.3 to 15.5 while driving. Like yours I get the 3 bars when I take my foot off the gas ( Lean cruze ). That is normal.

I would of waited to install the AFC until you solved the cels.
Your wideband is fonctioning normal. Off the throttle in gear will give you the blank...put the clutch in or out of gear and voila. It bounces back and forth only while cruising...cause the ecu is trying to find 14.7a/f.

It goes back and forth as if it were a gauge for car audio bass. Well, I only installed the AFC because I was so sick and tired of having it sit in my room. Plus I was really bored the other day and had absolutely nothing to do.

Wait...do you have a wideband or narrowband?

Definitely do not have a wideband. So it must be a narrowband?

yea narrowband.
those just go back and fourth. they really dont tell u much of anything important, id get a wideband since u have an EMS you can tune yourself (if u need to monitor)
anyhow, the best thing to do, is take the afc out and fix the CEL's first. I know it sucks but it really will make it alot easier if u dont have a piggyback interfering with things.

Well, I understand that. I just wanted to try and narrow down the possibilities. Also, since installing the AFC, I haven't had a CEL. I'm pointing to the EGR valve (since it looks like utter crap). I was also wondering if the IAC (if thats right) is something that is known to break easily? Could my Walbro fuel pump be causing the issue?

installing the afc wouldn't help narrow things down, it just complicates things. I'd do what was already mentioned and uninstall the piggyback and get the cels figured out.
and definitely deep six the narrowband for a wideband

No, I meant trying to narrow things down from the original problems I was having. I figured that the AFC wouldn't help solve any problems.

Wouldn't a wideband only be good if I knew how to tune? Or knew what I was looking at (in detail)

well since ur installing an engine altering device its a goood idea to have a wideband so u know the map or device isnt wrong. not every car runs the same so the map that comes on the afc isnt always perfect.
reading the wideband is easy. 14.7 when not in boost (it will fluctuate) and under 12-13afr for 1-3psi then 11.5 or under afr 4+psi
thats jsut in a nutshell but enough to get by on.

If I got a wideband, I would hook it up to the second set of wires that comes off of my AFC? I'm still looking for an answer to wether the walbro fuel pump could be causing issues or not?

i never had the walboro, in a msp tehres no need for it till u get into the 275+ whp range, id go back to stock, some people have experienced prressure drop from the walboro ive read. it depends on which AFC u have but to LOG with the wideband u would hook it to any of the orange wires that are bundled together on the V2. V1 u cant do it, and v3 i think it has to be asked for.

Ok, well, I finally replaced the EGR valve with a brand new one...NOTHING! Honestly, I did not notice any difference. hmmm...any other ideas?
