I just got my MS3 and would like to get a BOV and a CAI. What BOV and CAI can I get that will give me the best performance and won't void my warranty? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Let me help you in advance, some of the less helpful forum members will tell you "all mods can potentially void your warranty" Especially since Mazda and some dealerships are being dicks lately with honoring work on the car.

its really a dealership decision to be honest. Theres no real universal mod that will let you keep your warranty. My honest opinion is that, its just another way for the dealership to not honor their word on their products, I see where they are coming from but still. Sometimes they just get way to carried away.

Talk to your dealer and hear what they have to say.

im not seeing how that is being a "less helpful" forum member. Its a direct and accurate statement to the question if you ask me. The only real mods i would say is a new air filter and tires

If your dealer will void you for a turbo timer, something that protects the life of a turbocharger, you have the dumbest dealership around.

what about the mazdaspeed "blue," "green," and "orange" warranty information you can find right on the mazdausa website? is that only a warranty for those products, or does that explain that the car's warranty cannot be voided by those approved mazdaspeed products?

In answer to the original question,
Air
Gas
Oil
everything else (as we have found out) has the potential based on your location.

I believe it tells you what effect those approved products will have on your warranty... you cant assume because Mazda has an approved CAI that putting a different CAI will effect warranty the same...
Call it a racket, stealership practices, dumb dealers, company conspiracies, etc fact is if you mod your car you do run the risk of getting pushback from dealer and/or Mazda.
I dont understand how making that comment makes us a bunch of less helpful self centered members but thats a different thread all on itself.....

This should help clear things up. You can mod.. but must do it wisely..
