Hi there guys, just wanted to share a great little spot for stretching your legs in your speed or basically any vehicle. Some of you may be familiar with the Tail of the Dragon, but the we have the "Gator Back" aka Avalon Park Blvd.

The road features a true euro rules round about and small chicane, it is not much but coupled with the fact that you can catch a beautiful sunset along with your windows down and fresh air flowing in, you can truly fall in love with an evening drive! Just thought I would share that with everyone.

I've never taken the road all the way to Alafaya. But I agree it's a nice road, despite the school zone.

In the evening afterhours around dusk is the best time, Cool air and great scenery, I drove all the way down to the power plant or whatever that was and it is a great place for taking some shots.

Totally worth it, let me know if you head out there and I may just join you for a drive up there!

Yup. Can't remember how much it runs, but you go early, pay to get in, and race all day. Better deal than Wednesday or Friday nights (Friday's being the most crowded). I've never been to funday Sunday though. Hardly ever go out there anymore. Paying money to run 16s... lol

I'd be happy to come watch any Wednesday night if anyone wants to meet up. Tomorrow not so good though, sorry :(

We are all pretty close to each other so meeting up and shit should be pretty doable.

hahaha you flat landers. I have to actually look for roads that don't kick ass here in Va. (barring interstates and highways)

I don't envy those living in that part of the country at all.

Avalon parkway used to be a lot better before all the houses and traffic, but I still drive it whenever I go back to Orlando. (drive)

LOL, yeah I miss areas like like long island or san diego or better yet my time in the UK was amazing for driving roads. Us "flat landers" have to make the best with what we have.

Maybe in the future we can organize a trip up north to the tail of the dragon for all the speeds. I read a great write up on it in the last zoom zoom magazine that was sent.

Seems like there are a bunch of us from orlando on here. Roads in this town suck....

That being said, there are some decent driving roads along the beach out near crystal river is one of them. It's reknowned with the motorcycle crowd for the scenery and sweeping turns. Similar lightly traveled routes can be found along the east coast....
