Has anyone dynoed their ms3 with just a cobb intake only? I have seen the mustang dyno on Cobb's website but cant find any other dynos. I have searched.
Let me just say I just installed a cobb intake on my ms3 and I am so impressed. Every gear is more responsive. The car is quicker all around. It now breaks my tires loose in 2nd gear. I noticed more of a gain from this than I did in my srt4 going from stock to stage 2. The Ms3 should have come with the cobb sri from the factory! Anyway, any other dyno besides the mustang dyno?

I have no idea about the Cobb intake. I doubt that many people have dynoed their MS3 with just a CAI or SRI. Just wanted you to feel like you're not invisible. j/k

Welcome..Im guessing you added about 15-20hp with the intake alone.Adding a sr or cai on this car gives great numbers since the stock box sucks..no pun intended.

Hopefully Cobb will release a heatshield for this soon. In the summer, any car with an SRI will suffer from the intake temps.

The ms cai is great, I didnt get it because Im too neurotic about hydrolock besides you cant order them right now.

I would guess that the cobb sri gives you around 15-20whp.

I would think once you are moving on a summer day that wouldnt be a problem. In traffic or at lights will probably increase temps.

Do a forums or Google search for something like 'mazdaspeed3 cobb dyno'. You're bound to come up with something. Actually, I want to say that Cobb themselves have a dyno sheet on their site.

Ok, I checked. After looking on Cobb's website, I found this:

He actually asked for a dyno other than the one off cobbs site...

Here's a thread I found where someone is comparing before and after dyno sheets on the Cobb SRI. Hope this helps.

hate to bring back a thread from the dead, but does anyone have any other dyno's? because the one in the link above makes no sense, lose of torque? thought the sri was supposed to produce more torque than the cai and less hp up top?

(dunno) I have yet to find a clear cut dyno on just the cobb sri. There is no doubt there are gains of at least 10 horse and torque @ the wheels.

That sounds right regardless of dyno. maybe more. Just from seeing so many dyno charts on other cars with just an intake upgrade. The turbo takes even more advantage of free flow, if you do not have one you should.
