Looking to get some rims soon. I'm looking at 18x8 wheels and would like to know if the stock tires can run on these as I really don't want to trash them as they have a lot of life yet. I did a search and couldn't find the answer. Thanks.

Yes you'll be able to stretch the stockers on to the 8" rims

I wouldn't suggest it though...

I have 18x8 with 225/45/18 and they look horribly stretched already...
I wouldn't go smaller than 225 on an 8" wheel.

worked great. Actually, worked better than my 235/40s as they didn't rub!

i'm planning to get 18x8 too.. i asked my tire guy if i'd be able to use my stockers, he said it wouldn't be a problem.. i'm gonna go with either 225 azenis or hankook ventus next summer
