K so one of my buddies wants to sell me his rims.
here is the thing. Its 18 x 8.5 with 38 offset.

now here is my question how far out will the wheel stick out if i put these on the car.

Will the width of the rim touch the strut and spring? Id love to test fit but i dont have the car yet.

Thanks for the info

They will have 20mm less clearance to the strut and stick out an extra 44 or so mm on the outside from stock.

okay in lamans terms. How for past the fender will it stick out and what does 20mm less clearence means ? I dont know what the original clearence is

Depending on tire size, you shouldn't have trouble clearing the suspension, but there's no way they are going to fit inside your fenders.

You're looking at having tires that will stick out over and inch further than stock protege wheels/tires.

Edit: i'm basing that on the a stock size of 16x6 +50.... is that correct?

I guess that sounds correct.

Im just wondering how much further its going to stick out.

now which one would be better.. +38 or +45 offset.
Which one will stick out of the fender more and give me more suspension cleaning?
