So I tried to read my code tonight (2007 MS3) and I keep getting a link error. I had the key in the on position and running and still link error. I read my other car and the reader worked fine. Does the MS3 need a special reader or could there be something else wrong?

What reader are you using? It must be capable of reading OBDII CAN data format.

Went to Autozone, they had the same reader as I have and it worked, p2187sweet. Mine must be messed up, I dont know though, it worked on my other car. I'll try it again tonight.

So whats a p2187...? Why is it a "sweet" code? (huh)

I too am getting a P2187 lean at idle code. Dealer did a PCM reflash for this issue. They state there is a new TSB released just last week for this issue.

Is the reflash going to make the tune richer than it already is?

I think he means, it is good to decipher the code. Are there any codes that are sweet? Like; barometric pressure is just right for my afr , run me hard today. Or Temps are correct for massive burnouts..
