Hello,

Pretty awesome forum, first time posting here. I have a question regarding tools. I was doing my post-nasty Canadian winter check up and I noticed there is small leak on the oil fitting at the top of the turbo (fitting that you see looking from the engine by). I tried tightening it but I can't find a tool that would fit in that constrained space (mostly due to the geometry of the turbo itself). I tried every wrench I have.....any ideas???

Keep spooling!

That leak your seeing is actually coming from the oil return line below the turbo. Somehow the leak coats the top of the turbo near that fitting...but trust me it's the o-ring. A really cheap fix, get the o-ring from the dealer and during your next oil change, replace it. Happy boosting!

That's what I thought initially since there was some oil at the return line at the bottom of the the turbo. I cleaned it all, started the engine and found some oil next to the top fitting. I'll clean it up again today and see if there is anything coming from the fitting. Is that o-ring covered by the engine and tranny warranty? I'll make the dealership do it if it is :)

Yes it should be and it's only a buck for the o-ring and 10 minutes to change it. I never thought of that...good thinking.
