Could you take a pic of the rear/front end to see what the stance looks like; also a close up of the wheel/tire sidewall...?
I'm curious to see how much the tires/wheels stick out of the wheel well and how tall the side walls are on a 235/40 series.
Looks good btw...(2thumbs)

Nice looking car.
Pssst - you forgot about your plate reflecting in the puddle;)
That's a sexy car right there. Even the roof rack somehow looks hot.
I've been wondering how you guys black out your emblems. How do you do that? And how do you get them off the car, for that matter?

i want those on my Cosmic Blue ms3. i wonder how they would look...
Snyeed
04-03-2008, 01:29 PM
for the emblems I bought another set through one of the vendors, scuffed up the emblem with some sand paper. A couple coats of primer sanding in between a few coats with fine sandpaper, Then a couple coats of flat black paint. My front took a beating this winter so I gotta redo the front but the back emblem is looking good.

With the wider tires and drop do you rub? I want to get Azenis RT-615 I have 18x7.5 rims and not sure if I should do 225 or 235. And I'm dropped by Cobb too. What do you think?
BlackJack
04-03-2008, 04:32 PM
I love that tire size! 235/40/18 looks to be the best size. Wide enough but not too wide.
As for the rims, they do look good but they're not something i would get.
Congrats on the purchase.

That's an awful lot of weights on those wheels - I thought Advans were known for being balanced out of the box?

No signs of any rubbing yet, had 2 people in the back hitting a few on ramps at a decent speed. I have auto cross on Sunday so I will listen then. I'm looking at getting some center caps there not color matched though, gonna get them powdercoated.

What camera are you using!? The clarity is freakin phenomenal.
Is there any way those pics can be made attachments to be saved by us? That's serious wallpaper material right there.
Taking the rack off always takes some getting used to. I have one too and it looks like the car got its head shaved or somethin with the rack off. :)

With the Cobb Springs on do you get any rubbing running a 235-40, and do you have their sways too?
That ride height is perfect, not too low but still more aggressive appearance than stock.

Yes, 235s will rub in the rear with that offset. Try to find rims with an offset between 48-53. Even a 48mm may require your rear fenders to be rolled.
truredspeed3
08-25-2008, 04:12 PM
Yeah, a +43 is just asking for problems. I am gonna be running a 17x9 235/40/17 at +45. Shouldn't be a problem but I think its the most aggressive you can get in terms of width on the MS3.

White is super clean and sometimes I want the white but the red just fits the MS3.

09-11-2008, 08:32 AM
I have Thule mounting with Yakima FreshSesh snowboard top, I need to find a different way of mounting it to the car cause it left scratches where the pads go on the pillers.
03.5-dc-speed
09-11-2008, 11:26 AM
put rubber or something under the mounts. it looks like a clean set up to me.
Snyeed
09-12-2008, 01:11 PM
well the mount is rubber but it still scratched my car, if I look at it with the right angle I can see the outline where the rubber was. I gave it the finger nail test and its not very deep, When I got my car detailed the guy worked on them for a while but no luck. Gotta figure out something.

09-12-2008, 10:39 PM
oh dang theres gotta be some kinda clay bar or wax that would buff it out. i want a rack but dont wanna deal with scratchs or holes.
