Spy photographers have spotted what appears to be a prototype for an upcoming BMW 335i Sport Wagon. While the exterior of the wagon will be updated, perhaps the biggest news lies underhood. The prototype spotted has the same dual exhaust setup of the 335i sedan and coupe, indicating that — for the first time — the 3-series wagon will be available with BMW's new twin-turbo inline-six.

Up front, the sport wagon will sport a new front fascia, with subtly revised headlights, a new front bumper design, and a tweaked
twin-kidney grille. Progressing toward the rear, the new 3-series wagon will wear new side mirrors. Out back, the taillights will get a new treatment with LEDs being a strong possibility.

Although the wagon is the only body style BMW doesn't offer the M3 package on, it appears as though those craving cargo room and performance won't have to wait much longer.

This won't be my next car, but perhaps the one after that...

I suppose the S4 Avant finally has a rival.

ahhhh...there is already a 335i touring in Europe. This is just a camo face lifted model.

Eh, older BMW wagon styles look a bit better for a wagon that is.

Oh, I wholeheartedly agree, but older BMW wagon styles need more turbo.

I was thinking about it, but as far as I know, it was never available in a manual.

Changes "look" subtle, still a nice wagon (naughty)

no 6-speed here in the states. But it would be an easy swap.
