Mud guards with 18's??

My girlfriend bought me a set of rx-8 rims for my b-day for my 03 Protege (2thumbs), tires (215/35/18) are coming next week and am going to throw the wheels on. Does anyone know if i will have to pull off the mud gaurds for clearence or can i leave them on?

try if they fit then good, there is just like 3 screws/clips holding them on, it would look better with em off IMO

I read the thread title and thought "God please tell me he's talking about a truck..." lol

It's ok tho, the RX8 wheel is one of the very few (2?) 18s that I think look good on this car.
