I've been looking around and I've seen shark fins on other people's cars and I think it looks great:D. I was thinking of buying one but the ones I've seen have a huge price range...
the ones on rpm store are $79.95...http://www.therpmstore.com/product_info.php?cPath=26&products_id=253
But I've seen some on ebay for like $1.99-$14.99:S?????
Some also have different names (VG shark fin, Euro shark fin?) and look different and are apprently some can be functionable and non functionable?
My main question is what should I buy? I want good quality stuff that will last, so I'm willing to pay. Any pictures of your shark fins or any advice would be appreciated :).

If you get a non functional one it will be just the dummy housing without a antenna for the radio. You will have 0 radio reception for am/fm.
A functional one will have a antenna that will take the place of your whip antenna. Reception will be a bt degraded but you will still have am/fm radio reception. The cheaper ones either will not come painted or the paint quality will be that of a 2yr old with a crayon that will not match your car color... Do yourself a favor and get one off a reputable vendor on this site you will not regret it....

I got mine at the $65 GB price from thr RPM store... Install is a breeze as you unscrew the stock antenna. Screw in the one that comes attached with the sharkfin. Peel off the tape covering n stick to the roof.. Easy as pie...

my sharkfin was PERFECT in every possible way. install was fast and easy obviously and a breeze! definitely an awesome mod and a great looker! paint matched flawlessly in every way as well. if you do anything cosmetic, this should be the first!

I am seriously considering getting this shark fin. I don't really care for the long antenna that sticks out so very much! But I'm just curious, anyone had any issues with car washes after installing the fin? I would love to not worry about touchless car washes, etc.

as long as its not the cloth wash you will be fine with a touchless wash and a sharkfin antenna....

I bought the VG shark fin antenna from theRPMstore.com for $79.95 and paid $5.00 extra for fast shipping. I ordered it 4/24/08 (Thursday) and it was delivered USPS the next Monday or Tuesday. I have a 2007 MS6 GT titanium gray, and the thing looks great and the color is matched perfect (looks stock). I haven't noticed any signal degradation driving around town. The installation was simple: unscrew the stock antenna, fasten the wire from the shark fin with the provided screw to the base, center and stick. As far as the "sticky" factor, when I took off the paper backing to install it, the adhesive stuck instantly to the surfact without applying pressure, so I can't imagine it coming loose any time soon. The base of the antenna is flat and the rear roof of the car is slightly curved, but the 3M adhesive has a foam-like layer that has some give to it to compensate for the roof's curve. No complaints so far.

Just use some fishing line and "saw" it off, works fine.
