Im sort of new to the mazda protege 5 scene cuz i just purchased my car a few weeks ago. My car came with a "no named brand" axle-back exhaust. I want a cat-back exhaust that is quiet and wont give an cel/error code. That why i prefer greddy sp2 cat-back exhaust.

Does anybody have this exhaust and could you show some pics please. Oh and im looking to spend up to $500. Any other suggestions would be appreciated as well. Thank you.

a cbe wouldnt give you a CEL anyway.

check out protegegarage.com

alot of people favor the racing beat system. just a tad louder than stock, and sounds killer when in combo with a obx header and catted midpipe

i believe the least quiet of them all is the racing beat cat back.

I like the look of the racing beat exhaust system! It doesn't stick out past the bumper though does it? Thats drive nuts...but i can deal with a lil bit.

the greddy sp2 is for the msp so it wouldnt fit exactly right.. and it wouldnt sound as good on a n/a car. i was thinking about getting one a couple years ago, but i went for the thunder exhaust from protophile.. im not sure if he is still sellin them, but if he is you should check it out

That sucks! I love greddys exhaust systems. Racingbeat seem to be my last option. Im very picky about sound quality and dont want that ricey sound. I love the deep quite exhausts.

Just get the damn Racing Beat and see why it is the most popular exhaust on NA Proteges.

among being a premier aftermarket vendor for mazdas, RB also provided a lot of factory development for the mazdaspeed protege, including suspension and front/rear sway bars

EDIT: you could also look into using the catback stock MSP exhaust if you're working on the cheap. bolts right up to the midpipe and doesn't sound ricy at all.
