Does anybody know if this mirror fits on a 2002 protege 5 and when can i find it cheaper than $192.50? I like it and all but the price is not worth it...

I don't see why not mirrors just glue onto the windsheild for the most part.

Would it be a pretty easy install? Ive never tried taking off a mirror before.

Neither have I but I'd personally get it professonally removed as I have seen people break their windsheilds trying to remove them after they glued them in the wrong spot.

Yeah, and have them put it on it on too. For some odd reason using that do it yer self glue for rear view mirrors never sticks

yes all the dimming/compas/homelink/temp mirrors fit you just need the right windshield mount. The only way you can get a lower price is to get a used one. Doesn't matter from which car you just need the correct mount.

Thanks for the help, now that i know how to install it. I guess i just have to figure out a way to get it off. Professional window installer right?

installation instructions are included with the mirror you want to purchase from mazdastuff. The glue is only required if you are changing the mount. If the mount is the same it is a simple swap

As for you stock one it slides off the mount that is glued on your windshield. The instructions should be in the mazda repair manual.

well if you are planning on doing most of these installs yourself, you are giving the impression you will be purchasing a lot, download the repair manual so you have all the instructions
