Shift stick fell thru the bottom

Hey guys. While driving the other day I suddenly noticed that my shifter sank through the bottom of the car. (hah) I can rest it on the exhaust pipe underneath. I took it apart today but I can't really see how it was mounted. No bolts missing or anything. I'm guessing there's some ring that came off or broke. There is a small one loose on the inside of the car. Not sure if that's the problem. What should I do? How much will it cost? Thanks.

i bet the bolt that hooks the sifter to the tranny came undone. should not be a big deal to fix, you just need to get under the car and find out where it came disconnected.
