I picked up some cheap alloys for winter etc. use. They're 14 inchers. The bolt pattern is right and I can get the hub rings, but I am concerned about the +30mm offset. I was going to run 1857014 winter tires on them. Will the tires clear with that offset, and are the wheel bearings in harm's way from such a differential from the stock +50mm? Anybody run such a combination? If not good, anybody know the stock offset for my '96 626? Could use em there. thanks

I presently run on 14"x 5.5" +38 offset rims from an 1994 Eagle talon with michelin x-ice in size 185/70R14 and it runs fine!!!

make sure the rims clears the front calipers!!! so dont worry about the rest it will work fine

check out my cardomain page...page 5 youll see some pics of my winter set-up!

there's a significant difference b/w 38 and 30 though... rabid, what's the width of the wheel?

They're just 6.0 inches wide. Really hate to have to return them. But bearings aren't cheap & I'm not sure about handling anomalies either. They do clear the front calipers. I did learn about hub rings already though. I was trying to use my Konig's 73.1mmOD rings on a 72.62mmID wheel. Pry bar anyone?

Well these +30 rims are going back. The outer edge of the rim is just a little too far out for my liking - be different if it was part of accomodating some 225s (crazy)
When I looked at the wheel bearing impact I realized that say a +43 offset is about dead centered betw the wheel center and bearing center. It's actually seemingly a friendlier setup for the bearings than the stock +50mm. I was only looking at the rear hubs though. Plus this doesn't account for steering geometry.
