Well I was getting kinda bored with the interior and wanted to spice it up a bit. No not rice I said spice!!!:D So I ordered this dash kit. It came with 66 pieces, there are bunch of other parts not pictured but if you want I will post them. Originally I ordered standard black cf but decided to go with this silver wire cf. Yes it is real, not that fake stuff. Install took about an hour and a half. I wanted it to look right so I took my time. The one piece that I had a problem with was around the shifter, it just didnt fit right, the cut was slightly off. Comments are welcome, I know about 50% will not like this mod but oh well its my car!!!

315.....ouch!!!! You pay for quality though. The carbon fiber is 30% more then the regular stuff.

+1

also, don't think I'm feeling the silver, but it may just be that the camera adds more contrast, like when taking photos of the new piano black trim

you know, on certain cars, a quality dash kit can look good, but in moderation. too much is...too much and can be overcoming. i think the ms3 is one of those cars where it can work because it's got such a variation of textures and surfaces. that said, what i mentioned about moderation walks hand in hand- if a car has a few different colors going on in the interior, you can pick one, usually, and run with that to apply the CF. on the ms3, the first colored parts that jump out to me, that might be a good candidate for treatment are the titanium/gunmetal/gray/silver plastic bits that were replaced with the gloss black in the latest edition. i mean, mazda chose to make these parts contrast, so you can do the same with the cf kit. the parts with that color would be the first thing i'd consider just because they are in the right place for that treatment (hence mazda's choice to make them a different color in the first place) and could be broken up with the other common color (black)

make sense? i hope so!

what brand is the kit and is it pretty low profile compared to others (assuming you've seen some of the competition)...some of the kits i've seen in the past are very 'tall' and it doesn't look quite right.

thanks.

dude that's fricken hot. $315 for 66 pieces is a good ass deal. Look at the protege shit, it's so damn expensive. I like it!

Yeah I didnt think it was a bad deal but some might think it is a waste. There are ton of extra parts that I didnt install. Overdoing it was a big concern so I put a piece on, looked at it and made the decision to keep going. I am happy with the outcome and am glad to have something different!

I like it. I would spend the money elsewhere because I'm still bone stock but I see you have already modded quite a bit.

Thanks guys! I understand it isnt for everyone. Those that have seen it in person have really liked it. The pictures on here make it looks super bright. The flash creates that crazy contrasting bling effect! It is more subtle in person.

Here is the website- www.dashkitspecialties.com

^^

It would appear so. I can't think of any other way actually.

The OP did a good job though, his interior does look pretty good (although he went a bit overboard, I would lose some of the pieces).
