Well I got the in my car and when taking it for a ride I noticed that under heavy load there is a whirl sort of noise from the turbo or close to the firewall. It sounds like when you hear a bad bearing. The car boost ok but under load when the turbo is boosting you hear this loud whirl sound. Its not a grinding sound but just a whirl.
Have you guys ever heard that sort of sound and do you have any idea of what might be going on ?
I went for an oil change at the dealer 3 days ago and all of sudden this morning I got the noise. I am not sure if its related or not but I guess at this point I don't know.

Sounds like your turbo is about to go.
I would suggest that you take off all of your Shenanigans and what have yous and return your car to stock. After you have completed this take it to the dealership and demand service.

I don't believe our turbos are weak, it's just that a bad batch of turbos were installed on some of the 07's unfortunately like in the case of sparkplug

I only get the noise when on the gas. If I take it easy there is not noise its only when the turbo is spooling that the weird noise starts. I used to have a high pitch very suttle noise that you hear on transports trucks. That nice turbine sound but since today I get that oh no whirl sound like if a bearing is bad.
Its strange one day its not there and the next it is.
enjoy!

Before you assume the worst, make sure everything in your engine bay is nice and tight. Also if possible, remove some of your mods to see if the issue goes away. Just don't make the mistake of taking it to the dealer with that stuff on (except maybe the ms intake).

So new info.
It seems that if you rev the car the noise does not exist. If you drive very lightly you can hear the turbo spool with no noise but when you make the car pull hard you head that whirl sound.
any ideas ?
I looked around and everything seems tight so I am at a loss for what is going on.

Well I found the source of the issue. Its exhaust leak on the turbo. I can see carbon build up on the on the gasket and turbo.
Now how do I fix it since all the bolts seems tight.
enjoy!

Well I took the car out for a drive and pushed it a little to get the exhaust temp high and then stopped to see if the turbo stud bolts could be tightened a little and eureka they could and now the issue is gone. The car is quiet again with not strange noise.

I wouldn't exactly say the MS3 has lots of recalls. For a first year car the 2007 only has 3? Floor Mats, Motor Mount and Flutter Valve if my memory is not failing me which 2 were voluntary.
Most first generation cars have a TON of recalls. Hell look at the first year of the RX8 as an example. Turbo seals was not a recall but a TSB issue on some 2007's only.
