detination problem

well about three weeks ago i installed custommsp's smic and weaponr's hard pipes, then three days later i drove my car from san diego, ca. to jacksonville, fl. The car ran fine the whole way. but now i am having really bad hesitation, worse then before i installed the smic and pipes. I am at 53,000 miles. i plan on doing at tune up within the next couple weeks. my boost has been constant right around 8psi with spikes up to 11psi.

i was just wondering, could this be a sign that i my coil packs are going out or is it most likly just old spark plugs?

+ with my boost being around 8psi with spikes up to 11psi should i go with a colder burning plug? will that help eliminate the hesitation?

When was the last time you changed your plugs anyway?

Are you running any type of EMS?

no EMS. I fell i need one tho. I know the stock tune is bad but my car feels slower in boost then out of boost.

SO I don't see a thing about "Detonantion" in this thread....

Hesitation and "Detonation" are two totally different things.

i would def. go with the colder plugs i did on my car it made a world of differnce and i went to auto zone there coils are only 18 dollars each
