More KartBoy Exhaust Hanger Failures!

I was grabbing some tools from a shelf in my garage this past Saturday when I noticed that my muffler was hanging quite low. I looked underneath my car and noticed that both rear KartBoy exhaust hangers were sheared apart. They apparently broke apart while the car was sitting overnight, as I found the missing piece of the hanger beneath the car! All four of them have now failed, the rear pair this past weekend and the front pair back in October, as reported in this thread:

Seeing as I purchased a new set (two front and two rear) last October, I was able to replace the failed pair of rear hangers with the rear pair from the purchased set. I hope these last a bit longer than the three or so years the first set lasted. :(

First I have ever heard of this in the 5+ years I have been a member here.

Its obviously not a widespread problem or there would be some threads about it.

Had the same problem earlier with both rears. So 4 out of how many were ever sold is indeed not a widespread problem. But yes it does suck as they are now discontinued and the rubber oem units just do not hold an aftermarket exhaust as firmly.

^ CS has their own brand of hangers so you won't be totally out of luck...

I know but since they look exactly like the KB's except for color, I'm sticking with the rubber types for now.

i've been using kartboy's for a while, and i've yet to experience any issue like this.

and, as forcefed said, this is the first time i've even heard of this issue.
