I have a Greddy Types S (purple) Blow-off valve. I lost the "pssst" sound and now my car is stalling when I make a turn or a complete stop. I tried adjusting the screw where the nut is and no luck. Does any one know what the hell is going on with my car???? Thanks

i dont know but i have the exact sameproblem. only thing is that i think i might have the fake type s cuz my bolt eventually stopped its twistablity and so i had to get a bigger bolt in order to plug the hole!(headshake

What is it attached to... hardpipes? or the stockers? If hardpipes, check the weld. If softpipes... get hardpipes. lol. It sounds like a vac leak. Seems to me that it's a pretty big leak at that. It could be the BOV itself. Idk if Greddy has a warranty or not. If you know anyone local, switch it out and go for a test drive. Atleast you'll know if it's the BOV or not. Good luck!

Are you holding boost?
If so check bov vac line for obstruction, might be pinched.
Check the bov itself... try opening the valve with your finger to make sure its not stuck for whatever reason.

yeah they are right. i had this problem and still do too! i plan on letting my ride cool down and then checking the wastegate and then i will swap with my friends type rs bov and see if its that!
i guess this is very very common with msp's!

im not sure if its the same problem as i was having (but it might help), but i just recently purchased the recirculating fitment for the greddy bov (same as yours) that should keep my msp from stalling, i'm not 100% sure because i"m in the middle of putting my transmission back in (differential sheered into two pieces) however when i get everything running i will let you know, o yea i also know a guy that kept having stalling issues as i did, so he relocated his MAF sensor closer to the bov itself. in a nutshell, doing that kept the MAF from being confused.

So if I have a leak should I replace the hard pipes and BOV

im having the no BOVing problem, but my car isnt stalling i just have real bad turkey again. i have an FMIC with hardpipes but the welds are solid. the other thing is that this started after i put an MBC on it.

Bumping this up.. I have a FMIC.. I know I have vac leaks (just got the car back and now have to figure out what goes where with those lines from the IM), stalling when I stop or drop below 2000 RPM's, also have lots of turkey.. just about sounds worse than the CAI I had. Interested in finding out the answers to the above issues.

Make sure that your pipes regardless of stock or hard ones, are extremely well tight, Also I would for sure recommend to just relocate the MAF, trust me, it makes a huge difference, forget about stalling, and forget about the car turning off when the pipes come out.
