Don't submerge the filter and you'll be fine.
I take it you reset the ECU memory? (disconnected pos terminal for 10-15 mins)

As so many have put it before....free water injection with a CAI....screw paying for a kit. Hahahaha. Makes sense....any water vapors you get will most likely vaporize from the extreme heat of the turbo. You'd have to drive into a lake or something to hydro lock a turbo car with a CAI.

Always disconnect the negative before the positive! In this case just the negative is enough.

Yep, I disconnected the battery during the install. Ground first!
My original post was a poke at all the hydrolock hysteria around here... it seems to be taking on the persona of an urban legend: "I know this guy whose friend's uncle once had a car and got hydrolocked because he was thinking about an installing a CAI"

Its a little known fact that hydrolock has killed more people than AIDs, WWII, air plane crashes, and the end of the world, combined.
