03 protege speed maybe LSD???

Maybe you guys can help, I know the LSD is a common problem but does this sound like an LSD problem...... I got the car the way it is and when I put it in any gear I get nothing, no grinds no nothing..... I pulled the tranny guessing its the clutch and there is a brand new exedy clutch in it, so now i have to think its the LSD. Any advice would help!

When mine died it did not grind it just went ZING, ZING, ZING! and did not move.

Mine just broke and it still ran fine because just a part of the gear broke off as you can see in the picture.

Thanks for everything, now I have another question I took the casing apart and found alittle yellow spring and ball just dropped, cant figure out where it belongs to. Does anyone know???

If you go to the how to thread it will show you where it goes because theres a complete walk through on how to take the tranny apart. Good luck

The yellow spring and ball are part of a detent for the shifter assembly. When you take the gear case apart from the flywheel part it falls out. There is a bolt on the outside of the tranny that if removed allows you to put the ball and spring in place for reassembly. I am sure someone has the break out of the trans assemble.
