Please ignore the dirty engine. I plan that as my next project. The paint I used was Dupli-Color Ocean Blue along with Etch-Primer and standard Clear Coat.

I may or may not cut off the cover on the right of the TMIC cover. I also plan to get a Silver Paint Pen and redo the writing on the TMIC Cover in Silver.

It looks much better in person as you really can't see the metal flakes in the pics. In the sunlight it's unbelievable. The more I think about it the more I think I will remove the side cover on the TMIC as its just too much blue now :(

The TMIC paint job by itself is cool, not sure if I like the portion being painted over the BPV or the battery box though.

Paint-matched to the body color could be cool too.

Does this void the warranty?

How long did you wait before applying the clear coat?

Not long. About 10-20m on the Clear Coat. I used a blow dryer to speed up the process.

Props for creativity and the paint looks great but I don't think it flows well. Just stands out too much.

Only problem is that the paint will be sand blasted off the TMIC cover. That is why I never painted mine. I do have my eye open for a spare valve cover though. I will get that powder coated and then while I swap them I will match the cold pipe on the TMIC to the valve cover.

I cut off the TMIC side panel yesterday...Looks a LOT better. Also, when I get my TMIC/FMIC it will clean it up a bit more.

I think blue Turbo Boost Hoses and Blue hoses on my CAI and I will be set.

why would it void the warranty?
