Tranny Just Blew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well i think it was my tranny.. i could smell clutch burning and when i put it into gear its shakes the whole car violently and she barely wants to go, it also makes this sound like a lawn mower running.. once i got it up into higher rpm (over 2800) the shaking stopped a little bit and so did the noise.. i just dropped it off at my local mazda dealership but wont kno anything til tomorrow :( anyone else run into any such problems?

looks like someone screwed up... either mazda or you... but for right now Ill blame it on mazda lol. But on a serious note... that sucks.. really. Hopefully nothing to bad is wrong with it and if there is... that good ole warranty is your friend.

i onyl have a cai on it.. the car has 16500km on her.. and when everything went i was just leaving a stop light.. no racing no revving high nothing :( and i just got off the phone with mazda and they wont even cover a rental car!!!! if my car stays in for more then 5 days they will start toi cover after the 5 days.. but the first 5 are my problem..

well, it definitely sounds like you would still be in warrant for your clutch. i'm willing to bet that if you sat them down and talked to them about how ridiculous it is for a car to have its trannie blow after just 16500km, they will work with you to get that rental car taken care of. if that doesn't work, just call up Mazda NA and tell them this is not acceptable. keep calling up managers and division managers till this is taken care of for you.

for such a limited production car and a limited amout of the owners thats actually on forums, its kinda scary how many people are having problems..i could understand a couple here and there but it seems to be at least a person a week. again i hope everything works out and they dont try to dick you, seems thats dealers have been trying to do that alot.

they have to give you a rental car...you just didnt complain enouph haha
they will on have had my car for a day and my dealer gave me a rental lol.

i talked to the owner of my local dealership and all he said was the rental wasnt covered for the first 5 days so they arent going to do anything.. then i called mazda na and talked to three people and they just kept saying the same thing.. i just wanted to reach thru the phone and punch someone.. UGH!!!

man that is one crappy dealershit. mine will give me a rental for something as simple as an oil change. Make nice with the service manager and maybe he will hook you up, its general customer service and i dont see why they wouldnt do it

he was the first guy i talked to. He's a really nice guy but he said he had to follow what was covered under the warranty. but on a brighter note, he did say he was really sorry... stupid mazda!!!

Mine blew out at about 15 thousand . sounds about right get that motor mount and have them put the syncro shift in . Thats what my dealer did and it been shifting alot better since . 10-15 good grinds seems to make the dogteeth a lot smoother .
