I've seen it done in a couple of pics where the lights in the a/c buttons in stuff where the stock green was changed to blue or red. I wanted to know if anyone has done this before and how did you do it?

I'd like to change my stock gauge lights to blue so I don't have to buy a set of new ones and also change the lights in the a/c controls to blue.

So yeah, anyone done this before?

It's possible but it requires you to rip apart the dash. With some models the color of the guages/switches is the green or red. In other cases the light-up part is clear with just a colored bulb behind to make it look that way. I believe mazda has it set up in the first way i mentioned. Not sure though.

it will be easier to go blue if your stock gauge color is the green - just change out the bulbs for blue ones. if you want red, you will have to swap the whole cluster to the ES set.

if you put some "ultra-hyper-JDM" blue led's in there, it should turn out blue.

i have the stock "amber" gauges, and mine take to the red leds quite nicely. makes for a nice deep red all across

What about the a/c lights? Are they as easy to change bulbs as the gauges are?

the a/c lights are a little more difficult. you need to remove the unit from the console. i then dismantled the unit to stick bigger led lights in there.

I've already taken out the unit once and it wasn't fun but I could do it again BUT is it harder than that to take it apart and change the bulbs?

the hardest part is getting the unit out and back in

i am in the process of changing everything out.... so far i've got the ac control panel all blue. I am working on the gauge cluster and i am about to buy some 194 blue leds bc the ones in there arn't bright enough for me...
