Here's the deal:
I have a very good friend that told me about a good tint shop and I have heard so many problems with tint.
What brand is best for the film? Color?
I'm doing 35% all around. Any pictures of a Cosmic Blue with 35%?

The brand film they use is "Solar Gard supreme series". Any good?

Sorry but I just want a really good job.

Thanks!

p.s
He wants only $60 to do this

I've never heard of that, but that is one of the cheapest deals for tint I've ever heard of. My advice to you is that whereever you decide to get it tinted, make sure you get the film with a lifetime warranty and get it in writing.

+1 for pics. I want to see a CB with 35% as well. That is what I'm thinking of getting.

I have 35% 3M on mine all around. Pretty happy with it. I've heard of Solarguard before (in passing), but don't have any info beyond that on it :/ Here are some (shitty) pics of 35% on my Cosmicblue :)

Looks good :D
Where are your wheel caps man?!
I like the tint and I can't wait to get mine done! I am also getting the same guy to do my girl's G35

I'm too cheap to buy them ($25 a piece - WTF?!), and I think they look like shit (they're black). I'd *love* to have some silver centercaps, but I think they'd have to be custom made which would probably also cost too much, so... ;)

But glad the pics help w/an idea of the tint. It keeps the car noticeably more comfortable during sunny/hot days but it's not too dark that it's a big problem at night, and so far no coppers have pulled me over for tint on the front, so it was a good compromise for me :D Good luck with yours and holy hell, $60?!? I paid 4x that I think for mine haha :)

Yeah, it looks like currently I am going to go get mine done on Saturday but currently I have to get my girlfriends G35 from her parents and slip it away so I can go get it tinted without her knowing. I am paying $100 for both cars :D

Looks good. I think 35% is just right for me. Hopefully won't get too much attention from the po-po on the fronts either. Do you have a pic of the rear hatch by chance?

Oh damn I'm too old to have tint but that looks perfect! My CB would love it. Is there a color code for that? Up this way there are % tint laws I'll check . Looks very nice!

Someone posted some pics of a metallic tint on a CB that I thought looked awesome - it was 35% Suntek Infinity OP. I'm holding out for this tint - I think it looks awesome!

I pulled the pics a while back and will repost, because his pics are not showing up now.

Well, I stopped by the tint shop I thought I was going to use, and was EXTREMELY disappointed. They're very disorganized, wouldn't return my phone calls, and tried to talk me out of the Infinity OP. The installer I spoke with said it would start to have problems within 2-3 years because it's a mirrored tint. Does anyone know if this is BS? I really like the look, but if it's not as long-lasting as their regular HP tint, maybe I don't want it after all...

Decided to go for the Suntek Infinity after talking to another installer. I had to order the film myself online, and will just pay for labor. Will post pics when finished.
