I need to pick up some new tires here within the next few weeks. The only stock options I see are the potenza's and the pirelli's. If I go to 225/45/18's I get some more options, but the one's I'd really like to run are the Nitto NeoGen's, which only come in 225/40/18. I'm worried about there being too much space in the wheel well with this tire, as I don't plan on lowering the car anytime soon.

Anyone doing this? Got any pics? Otherwise I'll probably go with the Nitto 555. Had those on my Mustang and they were awesome.

you can run them with no problems----you wont notice a difference between the 215/45/18 and the 225/40 beucase since the 225/40 is a bit wider, its basically just as tall as a 215/45.......I myself am running 225/40/18 falken autocross tires (they are as just as wide as a 235) lowered 1.5inches with no problems...

Not recommended due to the width of the stock wheel.

I'm not worried about the feel or the fitment of the tires, as much as the sidewall being smaller and therefore having an unnatural looking gap in the wheel well. But it seems like you guys are saying that it won't be that noticeable. Cool.

There is a total of 1/2 inch of difference in height. 215/45/18 is the taller tire
