I've been looking into a new intake now that i have a little extra cash.

I was thinking Short Ram because they are cheaper and the hp differences usually aren't too drastic.

What intake do you suggest?

I agree, some even have internal rust problems.

I have been running a K&N Typhoon Intake (can be configured as CAI, SRI) I have had it for 33,000km's now (configured as SRI) and NEVER (knock on wood) had a problem with it. It sounds way meaner than a CAI and I like how you can hear it sucking in air around 3500-45000rpms. Puts a smile on my face everytime.

The cheapest K&N Typhoon I could find was ebay. It is just hard to beat ebay prices. I believe the intake + shipment to Canada cost me $260.

don't but the knock offs you will just get sound and it will kill your bottom end bad...my cars rpm band wasn't smooth it was real real rough...in a nut shell i don't think they work i took mine off and put the stock box back on and its real smooth power band is perfect i will be getting a fujita f5 soon CAI i say go with that, its pretty affordable and you gain power from it and have a growl.

my ebay CAI was the injen knock off ...i didn't feel power, i thought i lost some instead but then again it was the knock off thats why i am getting a fujita.
