i use 80-90 in mine but he says he used it without problems and it improved a lot. sounds logical to me because it doesnt have as much viscosity and the 80-90 and allows it to spin freely

Consult your owner's manual.
I knew a guy that replaced his tranmission on his Civic. The tuner shop that installed it filled it with 5w-30 oil. Several thousand miles later he was shopping for another transmission.
So fill yours with motor oil if you want. Some people like replacing parts.

have you ever had a quart of honda manual transmission oil in your hand? check one out it is just like water. and the part of a few thousand miles later needing to buy a tranny? did he race? did he abuse it? how many miles did it have?

Redline MT90 (75w90) in the transmission
Mobil1 10w30 in the engine
Exactly how the manual recommends; no reason to use otherwise.

Most honda manual boxes use motor oil.
