15% tints

have any of you guys that have 15% tints all around had any problems with the cops? thats what i want to get but i dont want to get hassled.

All depends on where you live. If you don't want to get hassled the best bet is not to get it. Where I live 15% is illegal but I've only been pulled over once for tint in the 4 years I've had mine.

like ghost said, all depends on your area. Also look up your local laws and see what kind of offense it is. In some areas tint is a secondary offense so you can't get pulled over just for having dark tint, but if you do get pulled over you can get ticketed.

I have 15% tint on all five windows and a strip on the upper part of my windshield -- and truth be told, if I could do it over again, I'd go with 25% or even 30%. The 15% is just too dark for me.

I've only gotten pulled over for it three times in the .. four years that I've had my MSP. And those times that I was pulled over for it, I was in areas where the cops are just THOSE kinda cops -- y'know what I mean. They'll pull you over for sneezing while driving.

I have the same setup as rush. 15% all around. Love it looks great. Feel secure no one can see whats in my car to well. Like another theft deterrent. but i do roll em down while autox so I can feel 100% confident.

Up here the law is 20% rear and 35% on the Driver and Passenger door, not sure what it is down there but here is a pic of 20% on the 2 rear doors and rear window and 35% on the front two.

I dont know the % but here is vegas everything is legal... my last car I had limo tint in the back 3 windows and a step lighter in the front windows and hated the limo. At night i couldnt see a damn thing and almost ran into things constantly. In my MSP i have the step lighter than limo and love it! I strongly discourage limo tint its just to annoying at night. Just my 2 cents :)

i have 15 all around and i havnt been hastled yet!! but i had 5 all around on the focus and my mom was driving 1 day and they wrote her a ticket!! but just try it and if u get a ticket for it take it off the front two windows and get the legal limit!!

yeah it was really dark but i didnt go that extreme on my MSP tho
For that i did a 20% on the front and 18% arround the back and its perfect
for me because just like hiroshi i wasnt looking to get hassled by the cops
