View Full Version : Engine slows as power resets over bumps

When I'm driving down the road, and hit a good sized bump/pothole, I feel the engine slow a bit, and see the main hud turn off/on, and radio turn off/on (see the radio display cycle back up, just as though turning it off/on). I have new wires/plugs for the last year (platinum plugs and high grade wires). I did have the slave cylinder about a week ago, which after that I started seeing this happen. Had the clutch replaced today, and had the shop look over the car and they didn't see anything obvious (loose wires, loose connector to battery, etc).

Before I take it into a Mazda dealership, and pay through the nose for an electronic diagnostic, anyone have any ideas of what I could check and how?

Thanks for any assistance in advance.

+1 on both of those. Make sure everything's snug and there's no corrosion on the battery terminal.

I know I had that problem because when I used to stop suddenly, my car died.
