Well I'm due for another oil change right now and because Spring season is coming real fast and right now in my area we're averaging around 44-46 degrees Fahrenheit (7-9 degrees celsius), I was wondering if it would be smart to switch from 5w-30 synthetic (what I have right now) to 10w-30 synthetic? Going to be using the usual Mobil1 paired up with the 626 V6 oil filter. Any input would be great. thanks

I've been using 5W-30 year round.

As i understand it, with an engine like ours, it's pretty much year round 5w-30 synthetic unless you're under some pretty rediculous extreme conditions, IE Death Valley in the summer or Northern Canada in the dead of winter.

The Mobil 1 is great stuff, but just as an FYI until the end of the month, Valvoline SynPower full synthetic is Buy 1, Get 1 free until the end of the month at Advance Auto Parts. That makes it cheaper than some of the dino oils out there...
I dont know if that will help you out up in Canada however...
