miata key

the miata i beleive is the car with a switchblade key, my question is: is it posible to use a miata switch blade for a protege5?

there was a thread where a guy was testing different keys, but it just kinda went dead at the end of last year. there was one that was looking promising about a mazda 3 blank put into a miata (i think) remote/fob

There are a few cars with it. 05 mazdaspeed miata, Rx8 also the 5 and the 05 and up MPV.

I would get one from the 5 or the MPV because they do not have the trunk button. The key itself will work in your car, but I'm not sure if the remotes are compatable
