Hi,

I live in Jordan, and down here we only get the 1.6L version of the M3. I got the 2005 model. Anyway, my warranty just expired and I decided it was time to have some fun.

First thing I want to do is convert the lame drums I have on the rear wheels to discs so I can at least survive my upgrades. I looked around jordan searching for a crashed up M3 with rear disc breaks but no luck, no one gets those here or even in the rest of the middle east.

Any suggestions, perhaps I can use another make or model, anything?!

Regards,

Isn't an M3 a Bmw bro? If you're referring to the Protege, I don't think there is any other option, you'll have to source the parts from Britain, or talk to Ken at Protege Garage, he sells the whole kit.

i think by M3 he ment the Mazda 3, i believe that some areas did come with the 1.6L, unlike the US which has the 2.0 and 2.3L mazda3.

aburose,
If you are talking about the Mazda3 then you might have better luck posting in the mazda3/mazdaspeed3 section of the forums. If you are talking about the protege(which I don't believe you are considering you have a 2005 model), you will be pretty much out of luck, there are no direct conversions. One member had rear discs converted for the 4-lug on his 99 protege, but that was a lot of custom work. If we are still talking about the protege, then you can look into the 5-lug conversion from the ES models which you will find all the parts, but will have to get new rims.
