Hey....I have officially started the upgrade process on my MSP and was looking for a little assistance in my first road block.....I have upgraded my hard pipes as well as added a AEM dry flow filter to my stock intake (modified) but now I want to add a blow off valve....but as I have found out it's not that easy to install and have working properly without stalling....I am looking at the HKS BOV or the Forge (which goes in the stock BPV location....new to the turbo game but not the import scene (had a 96' Eclipse and a 00' SIR) and need a little assistance...thanks!!!

get a fmic or hard pipes then a bov will fit nicely for you

I got a hiboost fmic from protegegarage.com and a greddy type rs bov which directly swapped out my cheap hks bov that came with the kit. same flange and everything just you have to plug your cai bvp nipple with something..I...currently am using a filed down cork from a bottle of wine lol...its temporary though until i figure something out.

Thanks for the response....I already have the hard pipes from weaponR....Its a daily driver and I want to keep the upgrades modest (I have a '93 300ZX as well) but I really would like a BOV....is there anything that can replace my BPV in that location but still release air? or is it best to cut and weld my BOV to my hardpipe close to the intake mini?

cut and weld away if you want that, the only upgrade for the stock location is the forge I believe so if you want atmospheric release you gotta go with a bov mang

see ebay there are tons of cheap bovs that will work in your application. The forge is a decent bov, i had it and that it was good, but i know a few people that had tons of luck with those $40 ebay knock off bovs. Just make sure you are not getting a paper diaphram in the bov.

If you have not already done so, you may want to swap yur maf to the pressurized side of the intake system when you add the bov.

or you can get a flange for whichever BOV you want to use welded onto the coldpipe and run a dual setup.
